About Bryant Elementary
Bryant Elementary is a K-5 Title One school serving our local neighborhood with pride. We have approximately 500 Trojan students. The staff at Bryant is a family serving our children. We pride ourselves on our many parent engagement activities focusing on building relationships with families, nurturing a love of reading and supporting our math curriculum. We have an Encore program including global arts, music, science fitness, sports and technology. As part of the music class students learn how to play recorders in 4th grade and the ukulele in 5th grade. We also offer introductory band to our 5th grade students. During global arts rotation, the students are immersed in different cultures including Germany, Mexico, France and Italy. Our staff is trained in Project Lead the Way giving our students engineering opportunities for students beginning in Kindergarten all the way through 5th grade. We also have teachers trained in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) philosophies. This program aligns with our district and school goals. Students learn about the Learner Profile attributes, building well rounded learners with an inquiry based approach to learning. We emphasize making real world connections in our learning which is celebrated in the spring with our Career Day. Bryant is also the home of the summer "Books at Bryant" program, providing a self-selected free book to all Owosso children from the ages of birth to 12. This program happens every week over the summer months so families can bring their children to select a book, enjoy a bowl of ice cream and enjoy a read-aloud through our partnership with the Baker College of Owosso.
Bryant is committed to providing excellence in education for your children. We hope you'll take time to volunteer and visit our campus.
